01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Curia Lente sits on the 1th floor of the Curian complex near Oimachi Station, offering dishes where distinct spice layers shift across the plate as you eat. Encased in glass that lets in natural daylight, the bright interior maintains a calm atmosphere that feels comfortable even for solo diners.

Monthly Rotating Combination Plates

The main draw is spice curry that changes with the seasons and the calendar. Alongside regular fixtures such as homemade chicken curry or a vegetable and legume preparation, the kitchen introduces varied expressions throughout the year, including pork vindaloo accented with wine vinegar and curries built on dashi broths. Opting for a combo plate featuring 2 or 3 selections allows you to taste each sauce separately before blending them with achaar pickles and side vegetables, creating layered gradations of flavor. Rather than leaning purely on sharp heat, the spicing is gentle and easy on the palate, making the dishes approachable even for those with lower spice tolerance.

Dessert Sweets and Cafe Breaks

True to the "oyatsu" (afternoon snack) in its name, the sweet offerings are well worth attention. Baked goods made with rice flour, such as carrot cake and lemon cake, provide simple, mild sweetness in generous portions that feel fully satisfying as desserts. In addition to classic lassi, fragrant herbal and spiced teas make fine companions for rounding out lunch or settling in for an afternoon drink.

In the evening, the venue shifts toward a casual tavern atmosphere, pouring drinks alongside spiced small plates and the Papa La No Curry, which comes topped with all available additions. From lunchtime curry and afternoon cafe breaks to a light evening drink over spices, it is a versatile stop to take at your own pace.
